Seventy women farmers in Udaipur received training on the Turmeric Package of Practices as part of the “Farmer’s Prosperity and Resilience through Climate Smart Tech Agriculture Project.” A three-day training on Books of Record was provided to 32 participants in Jhajjar to help them equip themselves with the skills needed to standardise record-keeping. Conducted a two-day workshop under the Entrepreneurship Development Program with Udyogini Didi's to assess their entrepreneurial potential and encourage innovative thinking. Successfully conducted a field exposure visit for 20 selected farmers from Jhadol block. Tge farmers visited organic farming resource centers, High-tech vegetable nursery and grocery stores. Recently organised a special event in 5 villages to discuss the potential and aspirations for rural Dhaulpur's development.

Koshish – a tale of persistance

“Koshish” is a Hindi word that means “to try”. It’s the attitude that ultimately makes all the difference between success and failure. The story of Jyoti Panwar demonstrates the value of having an attitude of persistence. Jyoti Panwar is a 29 year-old resident of Putholi village in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. Wife of Mr. Sher Singh Ranawat who is a taxi driver, Jyoti has two children, both of whom are studying in school.

Jyoti is a graduate and has even cleared B.Ed., so she understands well, the importance of education Manjari offered her a chance to make a difference in society, and she grabbed it. As part of the UN Second Chance Education programme, educators were recruited to impart training to the aspirants who enrolled under NIOS (open university). Jyoti was interviewed and selected to work as an educator imparting training, counselling and awareness sessions to aspirants in 6 villages as well as at the Hub.

She earns an amount of INR6000 for the services she renders. Apart from educating the village, she has also been involved not only in mobilising women and motivating them to participate in the programme. Her efforts have gone a long way, resulting in the enrolment of 92 candidates under NIOS.
