In a move to boost rural economic development, Manjari Foundation have officially signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika). ​This 5 year partnership will identify 10-12 high-potential enterprises and move them from local initiatives to market-ready businesses. A two-day training program was organised at Dariba location focusing on capacity building, teamwork and field skills for the group sakhis. Financial literacy training was conducted in Bhaldia, which included money management, savings, investment strategies, and maintaining income-expenditure balance. Information was also provided about Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. In collaboration with RSETI, Manjari has trained thirty rural women from Batheda Khurd village, Mawli on artificial jewelry making.

Swati is a seasoned water-centric development professional with over 20 years of experience in rural development, natural resource management, and climate change adaptation. She has worked extensively in various river basins, including Narmada, Chambal, Mahi, Tapi, and Kshipra, and has managed projects worth over 20 crores INR as a grant manager.

 

Swati has collaborated with prominent agencies like NABARD, CSR of Coca Cola, HSBC bank, and Tata Trust, among others. Her expertise includes climate change adaptation strategies, ravine stabilization, and revival of rivers, with a focus on community-centric approaches. She has also worked on skill development for youth and women, imparting training to over 3,000 individuals and facilitating microfinance and entrepreneurship. As a researcher and data analyst, Swati has developed micro-plans for tribal districts and conducted impact assessments of development projects. Her experience in documentation includes indigenous knowledge of tribal medicines and visual documentaries. Swati has also worked as a trainer and faculty member for natural resource management, micro-planning, and watershed development programs, catering to diverse audiences ranging from villagers to policy makers and students from national and international institutes. Her extensive experience and expertise make her a valuable resource for development projects focused on sustainable water management, climate change adaptation, and rural livelihood enhancement.
