The title "STRONG STRONGER STRONGEST" symbolizes a transformative journey in the life of a rural woman burdened with difficulties.
"Strong" represents an individual who exhibits courage in the face of adversity. As a person develops the mindset to confront life's hardships, they evolve into a stronger version of themselves until they ultimately reach their strongest form.
Meet Meena, a young woman in her nineteenth year, residing in Bheel Basti village located in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. She is one of seven siblings, with five of them already married. Her father earns a living as a daily wage labourer, and her mother is battling cancer.
Due to financial constraints, Meena was unable to continue her education after successfully passing her 10th standard examinations.
Fortunately, thanks to the Manjari Foundation, Meena was granted a "second chance," and she promptly seized this opportunity. Through the Second Chance Education Program, supported by Pradhan and UN Women, Meena actively participated in a series of meetings and counselling sessions. Consequently, she enrolled in NIOS (the open university) to pursue her Class 12th examinations in December 2019.
Meena's life has been anything but easy, yet her positive attitude empowers her to confront challenges head-on and grow stronger. She acknowledges, "My hardships have forged strength within me." Meena aspires to complete her education and work towards achieving her fullest potential, becoming the strongest version of herself.
