The story of 21 year old Paras Salvi speaks for itself. A resident of Rupakhedi village in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, Paras was part of a large family of nine members. The family’s financial position was weak, and her parents were illiterate. At the age of 12, her family forced her to marry.
But these hurdles didn’t change her mindset. Opportunity knocked on her door in the form of the Second Chance Education Programme and Paras enrolled immediately. “I have the plans to make a career for myself in the Civil Services and I will try my level best to ensure that this dream becomes a reality”, says an enthusiastic Paras Salvi.
